"Dec-2" -> {
"LatinName" -> "S. Bibianae Virg. et Mart.",
"Class" -> "III",
"Rank" -> 24.2,
"RankDescription" -> "Fixed feasts III class inscribed in the calendar of the universal Church"
The name and class come from the Missale Romanum, and the rank and its description come from chapter 11, "Precedence of Liturgical Days", in the general rubrics.
I think your solution for determining the precedence of feasts is ingenius - exactly according to the rubrics but in a way that will allow easy comparison. If I may ask, in the example provided, is the ".2" portion of rank equal the "fixed" portion of the description or simply the order in which the feast falls in the liturgical year (e.g. S. Francisci Xaverii would be 24.3)?
ReplyDeleteAlso, how do you plan on handling commemorations using this scheme? Will they include differing ranks (privileged, ordinary & inseparable) or differing definitions (Sundays, moveable, fixed)?
